John McEwan Ph.D.
John McEwan is a post-doctoral researcher at Saint Louis University and associate director of the Walter J. Ong Center for Digital Humanities. Previously he worked as a researcher at Aberstywyth University in Aberystwyth, Wales, UK. He is interested in the history of information technology and specializes in the political, social and cultural history of medieval Britain and digital approaches to medieval sources. His recent awards include the John Brockway Huntington Foundation Fellowship and the Durham University IMEMS Library Fellowship. He has previously contributed to major projects supported by national funding agencies including the UK's Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy. He has published extensively and his work on digital technology has appeared in journals such as Archives and Records and the Journal of Documentation. He holds a BA from Western University (Canada) and an MA and PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London (UK).
